Our research interests comprises the interface of tissue engineering, biomaterial design,  and nano-technology. We work on scaffolds, wound healing, drug delivery and new biomaterials. Last but not the least issue in Esmaeili lab is creating a bridge between tissue engineering and veterinary. We believe that tissue engineering can help to overcome some diseases in animals.

Fabrication of Scaffolds with high similarities to the real organ in the viewpoint of biocompatibility, biodegradability, mechanical behavior, structure, and biological properties.

Smart Wound healing

 Preparing new smart wound healing patches using pharmaceutical agent-loaded nanomaterials to detect infections while healing.

Drug Delivery

Creating new drug delivery systems with two main purposes: high dose of delivery and controlled drug delivery

Tissue Engineering and Veterinary

 Creating new remedies to heal diseases in animals including skin diseases focusing on artificial skins and drug delivery systems.
